Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy

Within this qualification you will learn the skills and knowledge required to plan, provide and evaluate sports massage treatments for both sporting and non-sporting clients.

You will learn to treat individuals suffering from a wide range of conditions, such as muscle fatigue, lumbago/non- specific low back pain, and repetitive strain/overuse, non-acute type injuries

This qualification comprises of five units:

  1. Anatomy and physiology for sports massage
  2. Principals of health and fitness
  3. Understand the principals of soft tissue dysfunction
  4. Professional practice in sports massage
  5. Sports massage treatments

Level 4 Certificate in Sports Massage Therapy

This qualification is designed to further your career as a sports massage practitioner working with injured clients.

The units it contains cover all the skills and knowledge required for this role including additional anatomy and physiology, testing techniques and treatment techniques so that you can better treat your clients with better results.

Cold and hot therapies are also covered in this qualification and will give you great insight into alternative treatment and recovery modalities

Entry onto this qualification can be via previous attainment of a Level 3 qualification in sports massage therapy or equivalent.
